『浮游在動靜中』

印象中是在默契音樂上看到Popface的，真是好一個挪威來的『大眾臉』，這張名為Eleven Pieces of a broken heart(心碎十一)的專輯也得到多數不錯的評價。

1995年發行首張專輯的Popface，所以不算是新團，只能說我是個新聽眾、一個新的上癮者。他們音樂協調又平和，有磅礡的落下然後在柔和的漩上，在充滿舒服的空間中。你似乎很難在他們的音樂中發現比較狂野的粗暴，取而代之的是種非常平衡且融合的『噪』、『靜』。

另外，Eleven Pieces of a broken heart裡的每一首歌曲都像是Popface在你耳邊細訴的故事聖詩，這是大概是這個月除了盧廣仲外我最細心品嚐的一張專輯，不過要在此推薦一下盧廣仲的一百種生活，真的很不賴聽，詳細介紹廣仲桑的請連結去『森克、音樂er』。

回歸正提，默契音樂給了Popface一個名稱，在他們的廣告Blog標籤中書寫道：「後搖滾療傷系」，其實小弟認為應該更改成後搖滾麻醉陶醉昏睡系，因為真的聽起來太舒服了！

官方介紹：
Popface released their debut album Buck in 1995 and followed up with Almost Endless in 1998. Next came their EP Calling Back/Falling Back in 2001 and the album Michele, I Love You in 2002. Their latest album Eleven Pieces Of A Broken Heart is being released in February 2006. Through the years they have released their records on three different labels, and are now finally coming home to their hometown label CCAP for their new album.

Popface has been synonymous with the Norwegian indie scene, or more to the point the shoegazer scene, since they first started in the mid nineties. For many years the band have perfected the balance between loud and quiet, between cascading wall of electric guitars and the gentle whisper of an almost silent acoustic guitar.

On the new album the band has taken a step in a new direction. Instead of searching for the musical climaxes, the band is on a quest for harmony. The indie feeling is still very much there, and you can feel something building up under the beautifully build pop songs, but the wild guitars have been pretty much turned down and the band comes forward as an harmonic unity, building up rhythms and patterns underneath the pop structures. Popface 2006 balances beautifully between their artistic vision and the commercial pop of today.
